Michigan State football is back in action for the fifth time this season as they welcome the third ranked Ohio State Buckeyes to East Lansing. This time however is the first time we get to see the team play after defeat under Jonathan Smith, so it will be interesting to see how the team reacts after that heartbreaking loss last week.

The Buckeyes present an obvious challenge to the Spartans as they are the favorite to win the Big Ten and one of the favorites to win a national championship, so if Michigan State wants to pull of an upset they’re going to have to hope that these three bold predictions come true.

1. Michigan State only has one turnover

One of these games Michigan State is bound to figure out their turnover problem. We all know how much of an issue turning the ball over has been for MSU this season, and that’s arguably the biggest reason the Spartans lost to Boston College last weekend, but I think it’s finally time Michigan State limits their turnovers against a quality opponent.

Now I’m not going to be crazy and predict a zero turnover game, the Buckeyes are just too good for that to happen, but I do think MSU will only have one turnover on Saturday.

Now we just have to hope that the turnover comes at the right time. By this I mean not in the red zone when MSU is about to score or when they’re on the complete opposite end of the field where they’d be setting Ohio State up with good field position. I also hope the turnover isn’t from Aidan Chiles so he can gain some more confidence.

So sign me up for a fumble in the middle of the field and I’ll be happy with the Spartans' turnovers in this game.
