Hoops season is right around the corner, and Michigan State basketball fans are hoping that Tom Izzo has found his spark again. It seems like he has, sounding much more motivated during preseason media sessions.

Michigan State has one of the best rosters in the Big Ten heading into the season, but losing Kaleb Glenn to a leg injury really put a damper on things. Fortunately, Divine Ugochukwu, Cam Ward, Jordan Scott, and Trey Fort are all coming in to help Michigan State repeat as Big Ten champs.
Does Vegas think highly of the Spartans this season? The first national title odds are out before the season, and Michigan State has the 20th-best in the country.
Right now, FanDuel has Michigan State at +4000 odds to win a national title which is a healthy margin behind the Big Ten leader (Purdue) which comes in with +900 odds to win it all — the best in the country.
Michigan State has the fifth-best odds in the Big Ten to win it all behind Purdue, Michigan, UCLA, and Illinois. If you ask me, I think the Spartans should be given more respect. Hey, at least the value is there. But the disrespect is back, and that’s just how Izzo likes it.
