Although Michigan State picked up a big win on Saturday night, Omari Kelly would like to forget his own performance. He did have four catches for 60 yards, and a lot of his damage came later, he had two fumbles that could've changed the outlook of the game.

Kelly fumbled an early punt, which gave Boston College great field position in the first half -- it led to a score. And then he fumbled again while trying to leap over a defender, but luckily, the ball squirted off the hands of a Boston College defender and out of bounds.

The two fumbles had the near-sell-out crowd on edge, and the Middle Tennessee transfer could feel the pressure. He knew he had to make it up to his team.

But they didn't give up on him, even if that would've been easier. Instead, they rallied around him.

Following the game, he spoke to the media and made sure to start with a thank you to his teammates for not giving up on him after his rough first half.

That's how a leader responds to adversity. Kelly may have just gotten to East Lansing this offseason, but you can tell that he loves his teammates, this program, and the fanbase. He has been a gem from the transfer portal, both as a person and a player.

Kelly responded to his teammates not giving up on him by posting 60 yards on four catches, along with the game-winning two-point conversion reception in the corner of the end zone.

This is why you don't give up on your teammates.
