If you watched College GameDay this morning, you would've seen a familiar face. Former Michigan State football coach Nick Saban was at the desk, and he made some predictions for Week 2.

The former Spartan has been complimentary of his former school, and even Jonathan Smith, in recent years, crediting Michigan State for really growing him into the elite coach that he eventually became. Now, he's considered one of the (if not the) greatest head coaches of all time.

With Saban always speaking highly of his former program, you would think that he'd predict a Michigan State victory over Boston College in East Lansing on Saturday night.

Unfortunately, that was not the case.

When the crew was picking its "superdog" for Saturday, Saban said that he always roots for Michigan State, but he was surprised that Boston College was a 4.5-point underdog. So he's rolling with the Eagles.

First, it's cool to hear that Saban always roots for Michigan State. Second, 4.5 points doesn't feel that egregious. And third, this just adds to the #disrespekt that Michigan State has craved ever since Mark Dantonio took over back in 2007.

Saban is a Michigan State believer, but apparently not on Saturday night against Boston College.

It's going to be great to see the Spartans prove a ton of doubters wrong. But maybe Saban is just rooting for his former quarterback. He recruited Dylan Lonergan to Alabama in 2023, so he's probably just hoping the Tide gunslinger does well in his first career road start.

Either way, Saban will (hopefully) be wrong.
