From now until August, you're going to be seeing a lot of roster movement in the NFL after rookie minicamps and undrafted free agent signings. That includes some former Michigan State stars such as Nate Carter, Kay'ron Lynch-Adams, Luke Newman, and Montorie Foster Jr.
There are obviously other guys hoping to make some NFL teams this offseason from Michigan State, but those are the guys who stood out to me immediately.
One of them just found a new home for the time being.
After participating in Seahawks minicamp, Foster Jr. just signed a contract with Seattle, making the early 90-man roster heading into the fall when it has to be whittled down to 53.
Spartan WR Montorie Foster has turned his Seahawk rookie minicamp tryout into a contract! The receiver is officially on the 90-man roster for the Seattle Seahawks.

Foster had tryouts with Cleveland and Seattle after going undrafted.
Congrats, Montorie! https://t.co/4nIS8fFS9X
Foster clearly has some work to do if he wants to make the 53-man roster in the fall, but this is a good sign. He's also reunited with some familiar Spartan faces in Seattle, according to Emmett Matasovsky who did some research, as Ricky White (former Michigan-MSU game legend), Cody White, and Kenneth Walker III are on that 90-man roster as well.
Having that familiarity and some guys who can show you the ropes that you also happen to be friends with can only help Foster's chances of making the 53-man, but he has work to do.
Montorie was kind of a late-bloomer on the football field. He was a prominent basketball player in high school before transitioning fully into football and earning a scholarship offer from Mark Dantonio right before he retired. He had to work his way up the depth chart at Michigan State under Mel Tucker and then Jonathan Smith and ended his career as a trustworthy pass-catcher.
Foster is an impressive athlete who might just surprise some people in Seattle. I see him as a practice squad guy for a while until the Seahawks need some depth and he's called up.
