Miles Bridges doesn't exactly have a great track record off the court in recent years, and it all stems from the altercations he was accused of having with the mother of his children.

Bridges missed an entire season because of this after being suspended by the NBA, throwing away what would have been a massive payday as he was set to be a free agent. He's apologized for the incident(s), and has tried to do better. Monday will probably be another day to forget for Bridges, however.

The former Michigan State star stepped up to defend former Wolverine Moussa Diabate after he and Jalen Duren got face-to-face following a hard foul.

Not only did Bridges defend the former Wolverine, but he threw a couple of punches for him. The entire sequence was ugly, and it only got worse when Bridges broke away from an assistant coach who was holding him back to charge at Duren and throw a punch.

Chaos ensued.

Bridges was trying to fight Duren, and then Detroit's "enforcer" Isaiah Stewart ran onto the floor and got into a legit fighter’s stance to try and challenge the former MSU star, and they half-wrestled it out before things were broken up.

They were both consoled by teammates and obviously there were ejections. You can't be throwing punches in a basketball game and expect to come out unscathed. He was ejected along with the other three who were involved in the brawl.

While you have to respect the fact that Bridges stood up for his teammate, he could’ve done it in a different way. The shove, to me, was fine, but the chase-down punch at midcourt was obviously just not it. He’ll likely get a small suspension or major fine for this altercation.

This is the last press Michigan State fans want to see regarding players or former players after all the overblown Jeremy Fears discourse. Hopefully apologies are made and everyone can move on after fines are paid and suspensions are served.
