The Michigan vs Michigan State rivalry is as heated as it’s ever been, and last season’s Tre Holloman shove at mid-court was proof that there’s no love lost between the two programs.
Another midcourt situation happened between the two rivals on Friday hours before the game.
Reminiscent of Devin Bush’s disrespect of Michigan State’s midfield Spartan logo at Spartan Stadium back during the Mark Dantonio era, a Michigan basketball student manager was allegedly spotted spitting on the Spartans’ midcourt logo during pre-game warmups while the managers were on the floor for each team.
It’s hard to tell what happened, but a video surfaced on Friday appearing to show a Michigan student manager dribbling past mi—court and turning his head while something seemingly flies out of his mouth and onto the Spartan logo.
Of course Michigan’s student manager spit on the Spartan logo at midcourt. The entire athletic department is full of cheaters and scumbags and they prove it time after time after time pic.twitter.com/xcKcTjbPQf

Michigan State should have a little extra motivation for Friday night’s game if this, in fact, showing a Michigan student manager spitting on the Spartan logo. If the Wolverines thought Michigan State’s reaction to them standing at midcourt during the senior day festivities was bad, they probably won’t like the backlash that will come with this.
The student section is going to be relentless all game long, and I can bet you that some internet slueth has already found out this student manager’s identity.
Buckle up for a rowdy environment tonight, especially if you’re that student manager.
As if the Michigan vs Michigan State rivalry needed more fuel on its fire
The Michigan vs. Michigan State rivalry has been heated for years, and I doubt that’s going to cool off much, especially after this latest incident.
Need to see how intense this rivalry is? Just look at the first 30 seconds of last year’s game at the Breslin Center. Jeremy Fears was screamed at by Tom Izzo to settle down after forcing a Michigan turnover and then getting in Tre Donaldson’s face. He backed it up by leading Michigan State to a comfortable win to capture the Big Ten by three games. And then the whole Holloman scuffle at the end of the game was heated, too.
We’ll see if the players even know about this latest incident, but it’s not a good look for Michigan. The fans of the rivalry have been flamed once again.
