Nick Marsh is already a Michigan State record-holder.
The true freshman wide receiver caught 41 passes (a Michigan State record for a freshman) for 649 yards and three touchdowns in 2024, setting the bar pretty high for himself heading into 2025.
Marsh isn't the only one who believes the bar should be set high, but he's also garnering a ton of national attention as a potential All-Big Ten first-team selection and there are plenty who believe he's going to be the best receiver in the conference not named Jeremiah Smith.
Long story short, Marsh is getting set to dominate.
And one analyst agrees. Nicholas Rome of Saturday Blitz revealed his top 50 receivers who are getting set to "dominate college football" in 2025 and Marsh made the cut. Not only did he make the cut, but he was listed in the top 20.
Marsh and the Spartans may have fallen short of their team goes in 2024, going just 5-7, but Rome believes that he's going to play a major role in the turnaround. He believes that Marsh and Aidan Chiles are going to grow together this season and he'll flirt with the 1,000-yard mark. He also believes that Marsh has the speed to take the top off of defenses and the intermediate dominance to help move the chains regularly.
Can't say that I disagree with any of this.
The other Big Ten receivers that were listed ahead of Marsh were Penn State's Trebor Pena (18), Indiana's Elijah Sarratt (8), Ohio State's Carnell Tate (6), USC's Makai Lemon (5), and obviously Jeremiah Smith of Ohio State at No. 1.
Oh, and former Spartan Germie Bernard of Alabama came in at No. 17.
I think we're all expecting a monster season out of Nick Marsh in 2025.
