Robyn Fralick and Michigan State women's basketball had quite the weekend. The Spartans went into halftime of a road rivalry game against Michigan with a 33-29 deficit and then routed the Wolverines by 30 points. It was one of the most dominant wins in the rivalry's history and it came on the back of a huge second-half effort.
Michigan State moved up to No. 16 in the AP Top 25 this week, jumping five spots. The Spartans are 17-3 and have won five straight games.
Fralick has the Spartans playing some of their best basketball in a decade and there are just nine regular-season games left. They have a tough schedule remaining, but they could make some noise and close the gap on the first-place UCLA Bruins and USC Trojans who are both 8-0 in the Big Ten. Michigan State is 7-2.
While the Spartans are making some moves this year (second season under Fralick), they're also looking to build the roster for the future.
And Fralick and Co. got some good news on Monday afternoon.

Michigan State has made the top three for the No. 1 combo guard in the nation with two more of women's college hoops' best teams making the cut.
Agot Makeer is not only a five-star and the No. 1 combo guard in the class, but she's the No. 4 overall recruit and second-best guard in 2025. This would be a massive get for Fralick and the Spartans who already have two of the best prospects committed in the 2025 class in Jordan Ode (No. 51) and Amy Terrian (No. 53).
Adding Makeer would give Michigan State one of the best classes in the country. Per 247Sports' Dushawn London, she is set to decide in the coming weeks.
