The injury bug hasn't been kind to Jonathan Smith in his first year as head coach of the Spartans and his depth is going to be tested on Saturday night during the Michigan State vs. Iowa battle.

Michigan State is down some key players for the season like Gavin Broscious and Kristian Phillips while it might also get some important contributors back for the Iowa game on Saturday night. Will we see Jordan Hall return to action after missing the Oregon game?

Let's see who's good to go and who's out on Saturday.

Injury report for Michigan State vs. Iowa

Michigan State

PROBABLE: LB Jordan Hall (undisclosed), DL Maverick Hansen (lower body)
QUESTIONABLE: WR Antonio Gates Jr. (undisclosed), CB Ade Willie (undisclosed)
OUT: OL Gavin Broscious (leg), OL Kristian Phillips (leg), TE Michael Masunas (shoulder), CB Chance Rucker (undisclosed), DB Khalil Majeed (lower body), DB Dillon Tatum (lower body), WR Alante Brown (upper body)

Iowa

QUESTIONABLE: WR Kaleb Brown (undisclosed), RB Leshon Williams (undisclosed)
OUT: OL Beau Stephens (ankle), TE Addison Ostrenga (undisclosed)

Getting Jordan Hall back as well as Maverick Hansen would be huge for the Spartans' defense, especially in a game where the first team to score 10 points will likely win.

Oh, and it'd be nice to finally get Antonio Gates Jr. back although it seems like he's slipped a bit on the depth chart again. It would be nice to have some depth in the receiving corps, though.

Michigan State's depth will be tested on Saturday night, but coming away with a win with all of these key injuries would show just how tough this team is.
