After dominating Kentucky, Spartan fans have been craving more. Fortunately, they’ll get that on Friday night with the Michigan State vs Detroit Mercy game which will be the last obstacle before the Fort Myers Kick-Off next week against East Carolina and North Carolina.

The Spartans are off to a red-hot 4-0 start with half their wins coming against top-15 opponents. Tom Izzo has to be thrilled with the start to the season with a relatively new roster, but he’s still going to demand more from his guys. He even said after the dominant win over Kentucky that Michigan State isn’t that good right now and the Wildcats aren’t that bad.

Izzo really knows how to humble his guys so they don’t get “fat and sassy”.

We’ll see on Friday night if they’ve been reading their headlines a little too much. Detroit Mercy has had a horrendous start to the season, sitting at 1-4 with three double-digit losses. This team should have no chance against the No. 17 Spartans, but weird things can always happen in college hoops.

If you’re looking to watch the game, here’s how you can do it.

Date: Friday, Nov. 21
Time: 6:30 p.m. ET
Location: East Lansing, Mich.
Venue: Breslin Center
TV: Big Ten Network
Live Stream: BTN Live

Michigan State should be able to take care of business against Mercy, a team that gives up over 80 points per game, shoots just 40 percent from the field, and the Titans is even worse at shooting threes than the Spartans. If Michigan State shows up and doesn’t take Detroit lightly, this should be a blowout.

I doubt Izzo will let his team play like they did in the second half against San Jose State again.
