Thursday night’s Michigan State vs Bowling Green game will kick off the 2025-26 season for the Spartans, albeit in exhibition play.
The Spartans will face a familiar face as Tum Tum Nairn is still with Bowling Green as the team’s associate head coach under Todd Simon. And last year, these two guys gave Michigan State all it could handle in non-conference play, nearly pulling off an unthinkable upset at the Breslin Center.
This time around, Michigan State will be ready for all the punches thrown its way.
Tom Izzo will be able to use the 2024 matchup between Michigan State and Bowling Green as a warning to the Spartans to not overlook the Falcons. Luckily, there’s some film on Bowling Green, too, that’s going to help Michigan State avoid what nearly happened a year ago.
Michigan State will host Nairn’s Falcons on Thursday night for the unofficial start of the season in the exhibition opener in East Lansing.
Here’s how to watch Part 2 of Nairn’s homecoming.
Date: Thursday, Oct. 23
Time: 7 p.m. ET
Location: East Lansing, Mich.
Venue: Breslin Center
TV: None
Live stream: BTN+
Unfortunately, you’ll have to purchase a subscription for BTN+ if you plan on watching Thursday night’s game. However, Michigan State posted on Instagram that if you use code ‘MSU15’, you’ll get $15 off an annual pass on BTN+.
Little victories, I guess.
Exhibition games are never easy to watch, but at least there’s a readily-available option if you do decide that paying a little money to watch a game that doesn’t count is worth it.
This is your chance to see all of the newcomers in action.
