After going seven full rounds without hearing his name called, Michigan State linebacker Jordan Turner knew he had to continue working for an NFL opportunity.
Despite having a strong senior season with Michigan State after playing his first three years at Wisconsin, Turner got overlooked after the draft process as no team signed him as an undrafted free agent -- which was rather surprising.
One team finally did come calling to invite him to their minicamp on Monday, however.

Turner is headed to Denver to partake in the Broncos' minicamp and this is another opportunity for him to prove himself like he did all season in East Lansing.
While his numbers weren't eye-popping, by any measure, he passed the eye test with flying colors. All teams really had to do was watch his film from the Ohio State game to realize that he has serious NFL potential. He posted one of the best PFF grades at linebacker that week and it came against the eventual national champion.
Turner finished his lone season at Michigan State with 66 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, three sacks, two interceptions, and a pass breakup. He was one of those "do-it-all" players on the Spartans' defense and he was one of the reasons that side of the ball improved from 2023.
Michigan State fans will tell you that they wish he had another year of eligibility because he was fun to watch in the green and white and he was just a genuinely good teammate.
My money is on Turner to turn some heads at Broncos minicamp and earn some sort of undrafted free agent contract heading into fall camps.
