Michigan State football vs. Indiana final odds and a prediction
Losing an emotional game on the road last weekend, Michigan State football is looking to bounce back and not let the Wolverines beat them twice (a loss to Michigan and then a hangover defeat the following week). In order to avoid that, the Spartans must beat one of the hottest teams in college football.
Indiana comes to town as the No. 13 team in the country with an 8-0 record and it feels like no one has really tested this team.
The Hoosiers won 31-17 a week ago against a pretty deflated Washington team at home, but they were without star quarterback Kurtis Rourke who missed the game due to a thumb injury. He's back this week after getting screws put into his throwing hand which might just affect the outcome of the game against the Spartans.
The odds aren't moving much in Michigan State's favor, however.
Here's what they look like as of Saturday morning, per DraftKings.
Line: Indiana -8
Over/Under: 53.5
Moneyline: Indiana -310 | Michigan State +250
Michigan State should be able to put up a decent fight at home like it has all season. The Spartans are 3-1 at home this season with a lone loss to Ohio State. They will be looking for their first ranked win of the Jonathan Smith era and it'll be up to Aidan Chiles to make that happen.
Vegas thinks that Indiana comes to East Lansing and leaves with a fairly comfortable win, but the Spartans have other plans. I think they show up and pull off the upset.
Chiles throws for 250 yards and two touchdowns while Nate Carter remains hot. This game will be close throughout, but the Spartans will hold on for a signature win in year one of Smith.
Prediction: Indiana 24, Michigan State 28
