Michigan State football fans are in “believe” mode heading into Saturday’s game against Michigan.

A couple of Spartan moms have seemingly galvanized the fanbase, and while some may be joking around with the “believe” mindset, others have full bought in and embraced it.

More belief is on the way, especially after Michigan State revealed which uniform combination it’ll be wearing against the Wolverines under the lights on Saturday night. Fans will be thrilled to see what the Spartans will be coming out of the tunnel in at Spartan Stadium.

If this uniform combination looks familiar, it’s because it was the one the Spartans wore the last time they beat Michigan in 2021 when Kenneth Walker III scored five touchdowns.

Michigan State will be wearing all-green with the white-outlined Spartan logo on the helmet, as rocked above by Nick Marsh in the reveal video. It’s definitely one of the better looks that Michigan State goes with, but my only issue is with the helmet. I’m willing to overlook the helmet that I was never a big fan of because it has good vibes behind it thanks to K9.

This was a great call by Jonathan Smith heading into the big game on Saturday, and it shows that he’s done his homework on the rivalry. That’s a good sign.

The Spartans have a statement to make on Saturday, and if they’re fully bought in under Smith, this could be one of the more galvanizing wins in the rivalry. Smith is coaching for his job, and the team will be dressed like they’re fighting for his job.
