We are just about an hour from kickoff of the Nebraska vs. Michigan State football game, and the injury report has officially been made public.
Nebraska will be without some key players, but the Spartans will also be down some key contributors.
Michigan State released its injury report on Saturday afternoon, and two more starters were listed as “out” against Nebraska.
While the usual names are on the injury report like Tarik Ahmetbasic, Alante Brown, and Kaden Schickel, the Spartans will reportedly also be down Nikai Martinez and Ade Willie.
Nikai Martinez and Ade Willie ruled out for today at Nebraska. Two secondary starters.

Two key defensive back starters will be missing against the Cornhuskers which is horrible news considering Nebraska has the No. 1 passing offense in the country. That means we’ll need to see a lot more from Armorion Smith at safety along with Justin Denson Jr. and Malik Spencer. These guys will all have to step up if Michigan State wants a shot at an upset.
Marcellius Pulliam is also out despite nothing coming out about his injury this week, and Stanton Ramil, too, is out for at least a month.
Four Nebraska players are out, too, while nine others are out for the season. Over a dozen Nebraska players will be out on Saturday, and two others are listed as questionable.
For anyone who was hoping for a fully-healthy matchup between Michigan State and Nebraska, maybe check back in a year or two. The Spartans could be in trouble if the younger guys don’t step up in place of Martinez and Willie effectively.
The good news from the injury report? Wayne Matthews III will likely be in, along with Quindarius Dunnigan who was injured on that collision with Martinez against USC.
Little victories.
