Although some fans are down on Michigan State football through four weeks, the Spartans are still drawing some eyeballs.

As one of the more fun teams to watch (offensively, at least), Michigan State has garnered some solid viewership through the first month of the 2025 season. Playing some Power Four programs in that stretch definitely helped, but it's great to see that eyes are on Michigan State again.

On3 has been doing a really good job of tracking the top-10 most-viewed games of every week during the 2025 season thus far, and Michigan State has appeared on two of the four early lists.

In fact, Michigan State has had a top-10 finish in weekly college football viewership twice in the first four games of the season. The only games in which the Spartans didn't finish in the top 10? While they were playing Western Michigan on Friday night, and FCS foe Youngstown State.

Let's check out where the Spartans ranked in the two weeks in which they did finish in the top 10 for viewership around college football.

  • Week 2 vs. Boston College -- No. 10 (1.6 million)
  • Week 4 at USC -- No. 10 (2.1 million)

These numbers are especially impressive when you consider that Michigan State played Boston College at the same exact time as Michigan vs. Oklahoma. Also, the USC game wasn't on until 11 p.m. ET and finished at 3 a.m. The fact that 2.1 million people tuned in shows that everyone wanted to see Aidan Chiles vs. Jayden Maiava.

People are tuning in to Michigan State this season. Will Jonathan Smith deliver with wins?
