The busy offseason continues for Michigan State basketball.

Tom Izzo has been identifying targets in the transfer portal and he even landed two plus athletes in Trey Fort and Kaleb Glenn. On top of that, he's been rumored to be targeting a couple of overseas prospects in Noam Yaacov and Lewis Obiorah. An effort has clearly been made to improve the roster outlook for next season.

Izzo isn't done yet either. The Hall of Fame head coach is reportedly getting ready to host one of his top remaining portal targets on Monday and Tuesday, according to reports.

Divine Ugochukwu will reportedly be on campus next week, per Joe Tipton.

Ugochukwu has been identified as a transfer portal target already and he's already been in contact with the Spartans heavily and even reportedly had a Zoom call with Michigan State last week. USC and Texas Tech are also reportedly in pursuit of the former three-star from the 2024 class who played his first season at Miami.

You have to give Ugochukwu some props for going through a tumultuous freshman season at Miami with head coach Jim Larranaga stepping down midway through the year.

As a freshman, Ugochukwu averaged 5.3 points, 2.3 assists, and 1.0 steals and played a little over 20 minutes per game, shooting about 48 percent from the field. He did only shoot 17 percent from three, but he didn't exactly shoot a ton. He had a similar 3-point sample size as Jeremy Fears Jr.

While many fans are clamoring for an international guard addition, Ugochukwu might be more realistic as a backup to Fears.
