Michigan State basketball welcomes the 14th-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks to the Breslin Center on Saturday night for what should be a heck of a ranked showdown in East Lansing.

All eyes will be on East Lansing as the two teams take the floor and two Hall of Fame coaches duke it out in front of a sellout crowd. This will be the best hoops game of the night, and it’s a chance for this young Michigan State team to make a statement and prove that it’s being overlooked.

Not many experts have been high on Michigan State this year despite being the reigning Big Ten champ, but Izzo is the king of proving doubters wrong.

Unfortunately, his Saturday night test against Calipari’s Razorbacks may have gotten a little tougher, especially if the shoot-around pictures mean anything.

Arkansas was without star sophomore guard Karter Knox in the first game of the season, but he’s been listed as questionable all week. On Saturday afternoon, Arkansas’ official X account posted a picture that may have hinted at the return of Knox. He was seen warming up with the team.

Knox’s return would present a tough matchup for the Spartans because while he’s a guard, he’s got some good length at 6-foot-6, and he averaged a solid 8.3 points and 3.3 rebounds as a true freshman. He’s only going to get better, and it’s clear that he’s a willing rebounder from the wing. This could present a tough matchup for guys like Trey Fort or Kur Teng — or Jordan Scott.

While Knox won’t be the reason Arkansas wins or loses, getting him back would definitely help matters, and it would make Michigan State’s matchup even tougher.
