Midnight Madness and the Izzone Campour are in the rearview mirror, which can only mean one thing: Michigan State basketball’s return is right around the corner.
The feeling is a little different inside the Breslin Center this season. Michigan State is fresh off its first Big Ten title since Cassius Winston was still on campus, and there’s belief that this team could repeat despite the Purdue Boilermakers being the likely No. 1 team in the country.
Michigan State won last season’s Big Ten title by a whopping three games after being overlooked in the preseason, and Tom Izzo is ready to do it all over again.
The non-conference schedule is going to prepare this team for the rigors of Big Ten play with teams like Arkansas, North Carolina, Duke, and Kentucky on the slate. The Big Ten schedule is somewhat favorable, but it’s set up as a back-heavy slate.
On Tuesday, Michigan State officially released tip-off times for every game on the regular-season schedule. The exhibition game at UConn on Oct. 28 has yet to finalize a tip time.

There aren’t many wild tip times this season compared to what we’ve already seen from the football team’s schedule through six weeks, but there are some 8:30 and 9 p.m. ET starts. There’s one that looks like it could be either 6 p.m. ET or 10:30 p.m. ET and that’s out west at Washington on Jan. 17.
It’s interesting to see the Duke game set as a noon start on Dec. 6 and also the Oakland game is a noon start at Little Caesars Arena on Dec. 20. Those should be incredible atmospheres.
Set your calendars, Spartan fans.
