After landing Divine Ugochukwu to be the backup point guard with Jase Richardson moving on, Michigan State basketball fans assumed that the 2025-26 roster was set.

That changed on Friday as the Spartans added another transfer.

This time, it came in the form of Harvard guard Denham Wojcik, according to Jacob Cotsonika of Spartans Illustrated. If the name sounds familiar, that's because it is. Denham is the son of Michigan State assistant coach Doug Wojcik.

Wojcik stands 6-foot-2 and 178 pounds and should add some depth at guard on the roster behind Jeremy Fears Jr., Trey Fort, Kur Teng, and the recently-added Ugochukwu. He's not going to light up the scoreboard, but he does have some valuable experience for the depth he provides.

Denham recently graduated from Harvard so he brings a high IQ with him and his dad was just named the assistant coach of the year in the Big Ten. He missed the entire 2024-25 season with an injury, but was a captain for Harvard as a junior in 2023-24. Wojcik entered the transfer portal in January.

In his three years at Harvard, Wojcik played in 64 career games, averaging just 1.8 points per game. He did average 18.8 minutes as a freshman and 15.6 minutes as a sophomore which shows that he does have some experience under his belt. He wasn't just an end-of-bench guy for the Crimson and while he may be that at MSU, he could still be used in a pinch.

Don't expect him to contribute much outside of garbage time in blowouts or when MSU's guards get into some early foul trouble.

I think we can safely say that now the roster is officially set for 2025-26.
