Another Senior Day, another win for Michigan State basketball.
This time, the Spartans beat No. 17 Michigan, sweeping the Wolverines for a second straight season and improving to 26-5 on the year.
But this win didn't come without drama despite Michigan State holding a lead for the entire game. The Spartans were getting ready to send the seniors off with the tradition of the midcourt logo kiss and a couple of Michigan players weren't having it.
In fact, LJ Cason and Phat Phat Brooks (from Grand Rapids so he knows the tradition) stood in the middle of the Spartan logo at midcourt, leading to some hostility from Tre Holloman.
Some thought Holloman overreacted in the moment, but after watching the replay back, it looks like the Michigan players were asked by the junior guard as well as Jaden Akins to move from the logo and they declined. They were also standing there during Fidler's logo kiss which is why he kissed the top of the logo instead of the middle which wasn't really shown on TV.
Here's a great angle (thanks to Spartans Illustrated) from the Fidler kiss and subsequent requests from Akins and Holloman to move and dismissal of that request by Brooks and Cason.

Then, Tre Holloman was not happy with the two Michigan players standing at center court and he shoves them.

So for those who thought Michigan State was the aggressor and Holloman was in the wrong, this angle shows the exact opposite as Cason and Brooks were asked multiple times to move from the logo and they refused.
Dusty May handled this well and he deserves praise for that but his players deserve a bit of a slap on the wrist for trying to start something during a Michigan State tradition.
