We’re in the middle of the college basketball offseason after Michigan (sigh) cut down the nets a couple of months ago in Indianapolis, but Michigan State is seemingly still on the Wolverines’ minds.
Yaxel Lendeborg, Morez Johnson, and Aday Mara are likely all going to be lottery picks in the upcoming draft after a close-to-perfect national title season. They’re just three weeks away from realizing their dreams and hearing their names called shortly into the first round of the 2026 NBA Draft. Obviously that’s where the focus is.
But one of them decided to do a little but of Tom Izzo trolling — for whatever reason — with an Instagram stirt featuring an interesting AI picture of the Hall of Famer.
Lendeborg has been known to do some trolling all season long and of course he’s not going to stop even after leaving Michigan, and he picked Izzo and the Spartans as his target. He posted an AI image of Izzo getting dunked on by Dusty May in one of the more… um… interesting AI pictures that you’re going to see in a while. Great use of our drinking water.

The AI picture is exactly what you’d expect from a prompt like “Dusty May dunking on a crying Tom Izzo. It’s not perfect either because you can see a straight split screen of Michigan and Michigan State fans in the background.
I’ll give it to him, he has the bragging rights currently, but now we know Michigan State is on his mind. He’s adapted nicely to being a Wolverine, it seems.
Tom Izzo needs to put a stop to this
Izzo and the Spartans have been the butt of some jokes and trolling this year with Michigan sweeping the regular-season series and winning the national title. He needs to respond in 2026-27.
Michigan State can’t be getting swept by May and the Wolverines again and it would be ideal — obviously — if he could win his second national title seeing as this is likely Jeremy Fears’ last season in East Lansing. All the pieces are there and Izzo has the needed motivation with constant trolling after watching his rival do something that he’s been trying to do for 26 years.
Izzo can put a stop to all of this crazy trolling, but it’s going to take a national title.
