The Seattle Seahawks are champions of Super Bowl LX, which means that Michigan State adds another champion to the mix of former players. Former Spartans running back Kenneth Walker III just won his first Super Bowl of his career, and he did it in historic fashion.
Walker was a huge part of the Seahawks' offense, especially with the pass game struggling against the Patriots' stout defense. With 27 carries, the most he has seen all season long, Walker finished with 135 rushing yards and 26 receiving yards, earning him Super Bowl MVP. Walker is the first Michigan State player to ever win the honor.
That is not the only history that Walker made. Winning Super Bowl MVP as a running back, Walker became the first one since Terrell Davis in 1998 to win the award for the position.

Many say that this was one of the most boring Super Bowls, and they may not be wrong, but for anyone who loves running backs, this was a very exciting Super Bowl. Neither offense was able to get much going, except for Walker, who continued to find holes and use his patience to break out for a big run.
The Seahawks didn't find the end zone till the fourth quarter, but Walker's offense and ability to get upfield on runs helped Seattle put points on the board, even if it was just field goals. Walker ended up having to take the bulk of the carries int he post season after fellow back Zach Charbonnet tore his ACL vs. the Niners in the divisional round.
Everyone knew this would be a defensive battle, but no one thought it would be as dominant for the Seahawks as it was. Walker was able to break through at times to set up the potential for big plays.
Walker might have just become one of the most famous former Spartans with a Super Bowl ring and an MVP award to go along with it.
