Roller-coaster doesn't even begin to describe the first three weeks of the 2025 season for the Spartans in the NFL like Kenneth Walker III, Jayden Reed, Joe Bachie, Jalen Nailor, and Nate Carter, among others. There have been some really good outings, and, frankly, some forgettable ones.
For Walker specifically, he's had an interesting start to the year.
The former Doak Walker Award winner got 10 carries in the first game of the season after coming off a preseason injury. He only accounted for 20 rushing yards, and had three catches for four yards. Everyone was counting him out. Then he broke out for 105 rushing yards and a touchdown against Pittsburgh in Week 2.
Week 3 saw another so-so performance, scoring two touchdowns on the ground, but rushing for just 38 yards on 16 carries.
On Thursday night, however, he looked much more like his Week 2 self.
For the second time this season, former Michigan State star Walker broke 100 all-purpose yards. The NFL Spartan rushed 19 times for 81 yards and caught a 29-yard pass in the Seahawks' 23-20 last-second win over the Cardinals on Thursday Night Football.

Walker's final numbers didn't look as good as they should have because of some late handoffs that were expected by the Cardinals' defense. He was averaging over 6.0 yards per carry in the first half, and looked really strong to start the third quarter.
Also, he had two touchdowns vultured by former Michigan and UCLA running back Zach Charbonnet. It feels like that's going to be a trend. Still, Walker was a star on TNF.
