What do all Final Four teams under Tom Izzo have in common? They have all beaten Michigan in Ann Arbor. That's one of the most impressive Michigan State basketball stats that you'll hear all week, but it definitely forces you to drink some green Kool-Aid.
The Spartans have crossed off one prerequisite of Final Four teams under Izzo and this squad feels like it might just be special. It has a lot it can still accomplish.
Before the NCAA Tournament, however, Michigan State has a tough four-game patch to a Big Ten title that includes Maryland, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Michigan. Going 4-0 will guarantee a Big Ten title but beating Michigan in the finale may just clinch the crown.
If we follow trends, it looks as if Michigan State is going to sweep Michigan this year.
Here's a fun fact, brought to you by Michigan State Content on X:

According to MSU Content, the Spartans have never lost to Michigan in the second of two regular-seasons meetings after beating the Wolverines in Ann Arbor in the first matchup.
Well, Michigan State beat Michigan in the first of two matchups which means that if history repeats itself and trends continue, the Spartans are going to finish the job in East Lansing to close out the regular season, completing the sweep.
Will this be enough to win a Big Ten title?
If Michigan State can split the final two road games and take care of business at home, we will see the Spartans win their first Big Ten title since 2020.
All signs are pointing to this being a special season in East Lansing.
