Frankie Fidler transferred to Michigan State last offseason to try and boost his NBA draft stock while chasing a national title.
The former Omaha star was a highly sought-after transfer in the portal, and Michigan State was able to beat out Wisconsin for his services, but he never quite lived up to the hype. He had moments where he looked like the star he built himself into at Omaha over the three seasons prior, but consistency was an issue in East Lansing.
Fidler had the talent, but it took a minute for his confidence to catch up, and when that happened, he was a menace off the bench. He got better throughout the season and even won MSU a game or two.
Tom Izzo had him in the starting lineup to begin the season, but felt like he was better off the bench, and he became the team's sixth man.
After earning a spot on the Milwaukee Bucks' NBA Summer League team, he didn't see the floor like he expected, and had to find his next professional opportunity elsewhere.
Fidler has officially found his first professional home (not counting the Summer League), signing a deal overseas in Latvia.

Stephen Brooks of 247Sports reported on Monday that Fidler had signed a deal in the Latvian Basketball League with Rigas Zelli. He's now the latest Spartan to sign an overseas contract, joining the likes of Marcus Bingham Jr., Szymon Zapala, Gabe Brown, and Kenny Goins, who have all signed deals within the past couple of months.
It's been a busy offseason for former Michigan State stars.
