A name that some of us may have blocked out of our minds or had forgotten about has resurfaced recently. That's right, former Michigan State football starting quarterback Noah Kim, who entered the transfer portal after one season at Coastal Carolina, has picked a new home.
The former Spartan decided to come back to the state of Michigan to close out his collegiate career with Eastern Michigan.
The former Michigan State starter spent the past year at Coastal Carolina after transferring following the up-and-down 2023 season with the Spartans following Mel Tucker's departure. He began the 2023 season as the starter before losing his job to Katin Houser and Sam Leavitt. Eventually, he hit the portal and chose Coastal Carolina where he probably expected to be the starter.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. He played sparingly in his lone year with the Chanticleers and finished with 333 yards and four touchdowns on a completion rate under 60 percent.
Now, he's hoping to get his mojo back with Eastern Michigan where he is likely to be the starting quarterback to open the 2025 season with the Eagles' starter from this past year graduating.
Cole Snyder spent the past season as Eastern's starting quarterback after transferring in from Buffalo and he was relatively successful with 2,684 yards and 15 touchdowns with nine picks and a completion rate around 60 percent. Kim is being tasked to replace the veteran transfer.
Chris Creighton has done a great job with the program and he's hoping Noah Kim gets him back to a bowl game. As a starter, Kim has yet to do that in his career, but this is a prime opportunity.
