Watching Tre Holloman inexplicably toss the ball to a Maryland defender in the final minute of a two-point game before "fouling" said defender and allowing him to hit the game-tying free throws had every Michigan State basketball fan in the world hanging their head.
Forty seconds later, Holloman was squaring up for a 60-foot heave at the buzzer with the game tied that would shock Maryland. And he drained it.
It was the most "I promise I'll make up for my mistake" moment that I can remember. Holloman nearly threw the game away with that turnover and then he turned around and hit a 60-footer to beat the No. 16 team in the country on the road, keeping those Big Ten title hopes alive and well.
Social media erupted, as expected, following the miraculous shot by Holloman and it wasn't just fans of the program or even casual basketball fans posting about it, but it was former Spartan players, too.
Former Michigan State basketball players were in shock as well and their reactions were great.

Tre Holloman hit a half court shot to seal the victory for my Spartans over Maryland on the road and I just started jumping up and screaming like a little kid. This is their third win in a row over a ranked opponent! @MSU_Basketball https://t.co/oGEGuEA9Bq

There are probably more out there, but these are the ones I found and they didn't disappoint. Every former player likely has something to say or was watching the final seconds and, man, Holloman and the Spartans didn't disappoint.
Yet another win in Big Ten play and it happened to be against arguably the best starting five in the conference on the road while the offense wasn't playing well -- at all.
This was probably the worst offensive showing of the season and yet Michigan State found a way to win and former players are loving it. And so are we.
