With a fourth straight loss in the rearview mirror, the Spartans are now preparing for Hate Week and a Week 9 Michigan vs. Michigan State battle in East Lansing.
The Spartans just lost their fourth straight game while Michigan is 5-2 on the season after dominating Washington in Week 8. Michigan State, on the other hand, lost its fourth straight game to Indiana, 38-13. While it wasn’t as lopsided of a blowout as some (myself) expected, it was still never that close after the first quarter.
Now, Jonathan Smith will look to get back in Spartan fans’ good graces with his first win over Michigan on Saturday.
Unfortunately, fans will have to wait all day for the game to kick off. On Saturday evening, the kickoff time for Michigan vs. Michigan State was revealed.

The game is going to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC next Saturday night. It’s going to be a long day for Spartan and Wolverine fans as they prepare for what should be an interesting battle between two teams that have fallen short of expectations this season through seven games.
Obviously Michigan State is in a worse position with a 3-4 record with its head coach on the hot seat, but Michigan fans are not thrilled with Sherrone Moore either.
There’s a lot on the line next weekend with Smith fighting for his job and the respect of Spartan fans and Moore doing the same with the Wolverines.
This always seems to be a night game nowadays, and given the fact that these two teams have not lived up to expectations this season, it probably should’ve gotten an earlier slot.
Drink that coffee next Saturday, Spartan fans.
