Draymond Green responds to Jordan Poole's jab

Draymond Green is and forever will be a Michigan State Spartan, and like most Spartans, he hates that team down the road.

So when former Michigan star Jordan Poole was a part of the Golden State Warriors, the pair I'm sure had plenty of banter back and forth. Like rivals do.

However, in 2022, it all came to a head when Green punched Poole during practice. It was a heated moment, and certainly a black eye on Draymond's career.

Green has always held regret for the moment, and quickly apologized following the incident. But as Poole's Washington Wizards returned to the Bay area recently, to play the Warriors, Poole seemed to still hold a grudge.

In fact, Poole fired a shot at Green after the Wizards lost to Golden State. "I love most of those guys over there," Poole said.

Draymond quickly responded to the jab on social media.

"I really am sorry," Green posted on social media.

He later elaborated on his post on his podcast with Baron Davis as a guest. More or less explaining how it's been almost three years, and that it was time to move on from it.

"I responded (to Poole's comment) because it's been three years. Like, let's move on," Green said. "I really am sorry. That statement was kind of like it was looking for some sympathy. Like he keep wanting to make me out to be the bad guy. Move on, bro. Like, it is what it is... I'm sorry. I shouldn't have punched him. But it happened. Let's move on."

I get it, Poole is obviously holding on to it, and I can understand it. You don't expect your teammate to deck you, but clearly, he said something that ticked Draymond off. Then again Wolverines are always whiners so, why should we be surprised?

I get lots of people don't like that Draymond plays with emotion, but that's him. And it's a huge reason why he's my favorite player to come out of Michigan State.

It's safe to say I agree with Green here. Three years, and your still holding a grudge, no wonder the Wizards are trash.
