Coen Carr's vertical leap is so unfair that he tests with an added variable (Video)

Football is almost here, but for some reason, Michigan State basketball seems to always steal headlines when we least expect it.

We can thank Coen Carr for that.

While Moneyball is in the rearview mirror and there's really nothing new to report on the hoops front until Grind Week and the first game prep practices of the season, the official X account of Michigan State basketball posted a video of some of the guys doing a vertical jump test, and people didn't notice something right away.

It looked like Trey Fort may have had an even higher vertical than Carr, but many didn't realize that the junior forward's vertec was placed on a foot-high platform to make it fair for the rest of the team.

That's right, Carr went first and your initial thought was probably, "Oh, maybe Coen is a little under the weather."

That wasn't the case.

If you looked closer, you would've seen the platform that the vertical test was sitting on. And then if you do a quick eye measurement, you'd realize that he would've cleared the entire jump trainer with ease. He had about 8-10 inches left from the top, and the platform had to have been a foot high. This is just how insane his vertical is.

In order to make it fair and actually allow him to be tested, Michigan State coaches had to add a variable to Carr's vertical test. He needed a platform to even be tested. Wild.

So if there was ever a doubt that Carr was the best leaper in the country, this should crush that.
