Sunday night's Michigan State basketball win over New Mexico was one that took years off a lot of fans' lives. But for Coen Carr, it was special. It meant that he would be playing in his first-ever Sweet 16 but more importantly, it meant that he would be headed back home.

Carr, who played 25 minutes off the bench in the win, had eight points and six rebounds and made some really big free throws throughout the night. He played a big role in Michigan State beating Bryant and New Mexico, averaging 13 points and 7.5 rebounds through the first two games.

And now he's heading home for a date with Ole Miss on Friday.

The 6-foot-5, 225-pound forward who has become a household name in the NCAA Tournament is from Stockbridge, Ga., and he's going to be playing in front of friends and family while visiting them this week while he's back in town. He was ecstatic about the return home for the Sweet 16.

In the post-game presser, Tom Izzo jokingly told Carr that he was responsible for everyone's meals this week in Atlanta. Carr's reaction was hilarious.

Coen laughed with an "I got you" back at his head coach before looking perplexed at the idea of providing meals for all of his teammates and coaches. It's obviously not going to happen, but Coen's reaction was too good.

I'm sure Coen will have some of his teammates visit his hometown with him and maybe show them to some Atlanta cooking, but no, he's not buying everyone's meals this week.

This team is deeply connected from Izzo all the way down to the walk-ons.
