Saturday’s Arkansas vs. Michigan State basketball game drew a massive audience and it was one of the best games of the young season thus far.
The Spartans held on to beat the Razorbacks, 69-66, to improve to 2-0 on the season. And that was with Arkansas getting a key player back, although Karter Knox played 18 minutes off the bench and clearly was still a little limited. He didn’t score, but he did record four rebounds, four assists, and a steal — but also four turnovers.
It’s safe to say that this wasn’t one of Knox’s best games, but the Spartan defense clamped down and made his night tough.
Knox rebounded nicely with a 19-point, 10-rebound performance on Tuesday against the Central Arkansas Bears. He obviously faced an easier opponent, but that didn’t stop him from making a hilarious claim after the win over Central Arkansas.
He told reporters that the Razorbacks should’ve beaten Michigan State, and if he played like he did against Central Arkansas, they would have won.
"The Michigan State loss, that's a game we should've won. If I played like what I did today, we would've won that game."

Sure, cool claim, but if Jeremy Fears didn’t go 0-for-7 from the floor, and if Michigan State made its layups, and if the Spartans hit more than one three, you could argue that this game would’ve ended in a lopsided win for Michigan State.
A player saying that if he played better, his team would’ve won the game is hilarious considering there are way more factors that go into a game’s result.
If Michigan State played to potential, it would’ve won by more. This works both ways.
