Apparently no one wants to watch Michigan State vs. Indiana in Week 8

To say it’s been a rough season for Jonathan Smith and the Spartans would be an understatement, but it’s not getting any easier on Saturday as Michigan State vs. Indiana is projected to be a lopsided affair.

In fact, Indiana is a 27.5-point favorite according to DraftKings, making this one of the most lopsided games of the week, on paper.

Indiana is likely to have its way with Michigan State which is riding a three-game losing streak, including a 25-point drubbing at home to UCLA. So, if you think about last week’s game, this 27.5-point spread isn’t all that crazy. But it is rare for a Big Ten game.

That also makes this one of the least watchable games of the week, according to Sickos Committee which ranked the top contests of Week 8.

While some games weren’t ranked, there were about 60 FBS games scheduled in Week 8, and Michigan State vs. Indiana came in at No. 50 — the last ranked spot on the list.

It’s unclear what the main reason for the ranking is, but I’m going to assume it has something to do with the game being on Peacock, and therefore, very difficult to watch for the casual fan.

Disagree with this ranking for Michigan State vs. Indiana? Honestly, it’s hard to provide a reason that this game should be any higher — although I feel like it’ll be more entertaining than Kent State at Toledo. This game could be over by halftime, and it’s on a streaming service. I totally understand the ranking, and I think plenty of Michigan State fans agree.
