One of the biggest losers of Week 1 so far has been Alabama, dropping a road game against unranked Florida State to open the season, and a former Michigan State football coach is receiving a good chunk of the blame.

Following one of the worst performances from an Alabama team in years, some Crimson Tide fans took to social media (and message boards) to vent about the play of the offensive line, in particular.

And who is the Crimson Tide's offensive line coach? Chris Kapilovic, a former Spartan assistant.

There wasn't just one tweet from an Alabama fan that caught my attention regarding Kapilovic, but this message board post was really telling about how Crimson Tide fans feel about him.

The first statement in a post-game vent session was "OL coach needs to go", showing that Alabama fans either don't know his name or don't respect him enough to even call him by his name. This is one post, but there were plenty of others that echoed the same sentiment all over Twitter.

Tide fans are fed up with the lack of a push on the offensive line which led to just 17 points against a team that missed a bowl a season ago with a head coach on the hot seat. Alabama also only rushed for 87 yards on 28 carries, and Ty Simpson was running for his life all game long.

Kapilovic was always expected to return Michigan State's offensive line to glory, but fell short of expectations in East Lansing, and now he's with Kalen DeBoer at Alabama having the same issues.

On the flip side, Michigan State's line paved the way for a great run game on Friday night under Jim Michalczik despite some questionable pass protection. Michigan State fans have to feel better about where they are on the offensive line now compared to the past few years.

It may have been a personnel issue.
