3. This team feels like a classic Izzo team

Through the first two months of the season, I had been saying that I liked this team more than any since Cassius Winston and it feels like Friday night's win over Ohio State only validated my feelings.

The Spartans were 11-2 coming into the game with two blowout wins in conference play but they were facing their stiffest competition in Big Ten play yet. The Spartans didn't let the crowd get to them and picked up a seven-point win, leading by 14 at one point, over a team that was 9-4 and two games removed from a 20-point win over Kentucky.

I'm not crazy when I say this, but this Michigan State team feels like one of the classic Tom Izzo teams that begins the season unranked only to shock everyone and push for titles.

Michigan State is now 12-2 on the year, 3-0 in conference play, and looking at a winnable stretch coming up against Washington, Northwestern, Penn State, Illinois, Rutgers, Minnesota, and USC. The Spartans could very well go 6-1 in that stretch.
