3. This team has a chance to be special
Through four Big Ten games, Michigan State is winning by an average of 24 points. That's not a typo and that includes two teams that were projected to make the NCAA Tournament in Nebraska and Ohio State. That kind of number is almost unheard of.
When was the last time this kind of dominance happened in conference play? Well, the last time Michigan State won the Big Ten.
Back when Cassius Winston was running the point and he had plenty of weapons at his disposal, the Spartans were dominating Big Ten opponents night in and night out. This team is doing the same thing so far. I'll admit, this is a long season so I don't expect this to continue, especially against the likes of Illinois, Michigan, and Purdue, but it's still nice to see.
This team has a chance to be special, though, and they continue to show it on a nightly basis, tormenting opponents for 40 minutes. Ever since that North Carolina win, Michigan State has been demolishing opponents and it doesn't look like it's going to end any time soon.
It seems as if Tom Izzo has one of his typical special teams on his hands.
