2. Field a top 50 offense
I could've keyed in on the offensive line or Aidan Chiles, but this ties it all together. Michigan State needs to field a top-50 offense nationally for the first time since I can remember. That didn't even happen in 2021 when Kenneth Walker III won the Doak Walker Award and Payton Thorne broke the single-season passing touchdowns record at MSU -- the Spartans were No. 54 that year.
This past season, Michigan State had one of the worst offenses in the Big Ten and that's because the offensive line was just plain bad for most of the year.
Aidan Chiles was left running for his life, neither Nate Carter nor Kay'Ron Lynch-Adams could do anything on the ground, and it just felt like turnovers ate this team alive. That all needs to change in 2025 and it starts with the offensive line.
Michigan State needs to field a top-50 offense in the country if it wants to be competitive week in and week out and the pieces will be in place to make sure that happens.
