3. Michigan State holds Oakland under 55 points
Michigan State has had one of the better defenses in the Big Ten so far this season, but the points per game allowed hasn't really shown for that just yet.
We have to remember that the Spartans have faced the No. 1 team in the nation, a hot-shooting North Carolina team, and a Samford team that was also known for its offense, shooting up the points per game allowed to around 68. But Michigan State has held a few teams to their season low for points, including Nebraska who was averaging close to 80 before the Spartans held it to 52.
I think we'll see a similar defensive effort from Michigan State on Tuesday night in Detroit as Oakland's lackluster offense struggles to get anything going and the Spartans roll.
Michigan State will hold the Grizzlies to just 53 points and under 40 percent shooting on the night and under 30 percent from deep.
The line for this one favors Michigan State by 16.5 points but I'm going with a 20-point win for the Spartans, at least.
