3 bold predictions for Michigan State basketball vs. Nebraska
2. Michigan State shoots 50 percent from deep again
For the first time this season, Michigan State made over 40 percent of its long-range shots against Minnesota on Wednesday. The Spartans shot 11-for-22 and looked confident.
That ball keeps rolling on Saturday afternoon in East Lansing.
If this team can come off a week break to shoot 50 percent from deep on the road to kick off Big Ten play, I see no reason why it can't come home to shoot a similar clip. It may be slightly too bold to predict 50 percent again, but why play it safe when these are called bold predictions? Michigan State will get hot early and finish with 10 threes on 20 attempts.
Jase Richardson will hit a couple, Xavier Booker, too, will come off the bench and hit two, and Tre Holloman will also hit a pair. Jaden Akins will lead everyone with three and Frankie Fidler will add one.
Maybe this is the start of a special stretch for this team's 3-point shooting.
