Former coach believes Urban Meyer to Michigan State football will happen

The Urban Meyer saga is getting really interesting.

For a while, it seemed like Meyer to Michigan State football was a pipe dream, but now it seems like the Spartans have a legitimate shot to land the former Ohio State head coach.

Why?

Well, On Tuesday, popular college football podcast host and Last Chance U figure Jason Brown stated on his show that he is sure that Michigan State is going to hire Meyer.

He went as far as saying that he called this weeks ago and wants credit when it does become official.

Does this hold any weight? Potentially as Brown claims to be connected in the college football world and it’s hard to argue that he’s not because he’s a former coach and undoubtedly still talks to some guys in the business.

However, the tweet that was posted to help prove his point in the video above was from Message Board Geniuses on Twitter (X) which makes fun of crazy message board claims.

Brown claiming that this is happening isn’t a huge surprise given the recent smoke in this coaching search with Urban.

Recently, trusted MSU insider Jim Comparoni stated that the Spartans have been in talks with Urban and that the two sides are exchanging volleys. The ball may currently be in Urban’s court, but that may not be a bad thing for the Spartans — he’s at least listening.

There have also been rumors about him in East Lansing or Michigan State athletic department members visiting him.

Either way, this is a situation worth monitoring, but Jason Brown seems to be dead-set on Urban Meyer to Michigan State being a done deal.
