It would be disingenuous for me to not give credit to their stellar academia when the founder of the DeLorean Motor Company, John DeLorean, earned his M.B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1957.

While his crowning achievements range from creating the Pontiac GTO to being a partner in owning the San Diego Chargers and New York Yankees, I will be forever indebted to him for his creation of the DeLorean Sports car.

Famously used as a time machine in the Back To The Future franchise, the DeLorean had doors that opened not like a normal car. These doors opened up and nothing cooler has been invented since. Yes, how the car was funded was not so great, but it took a perfect storm of production delays and a recession to prevent this thing from really taking off the ground.

DeLorean was just ahead of his time, as the DeLorean Motor Company is now coming out with a new electric vehicle at the low, low price of $125,000. Mr. Fusion and Flux Capacitor not included.
