The Urban Meyer saga continues. After reports came out saying that he had ‘no interest’ in returning to coaching earlier this week, there has been a new twist.
Earlier in the week, Meyer appeared at Knoxville Quarterback Club to speak and he shot down any potential interest in a return to coaching. It felt like the end of the road for fans who wanted to see him on the sidelines in East Lansing.
And then on Thursday, there were some rumors that Meyer was spotted in East Lansing (nothing reputable to source) and the flight tracker reported that a plane went from Sarasota, Fla., to Lansing.
The coaching search has gone crazy at this point.
And it took yet another turn on Thursday afternoon.
Interesting source says Michigan State football will land Urban Meyer
On his podcast on Thursday, former Last Chance U head coach Jason Brown stated that he spoke with someone who claimed that Meyer was in East Lansing interviewing for the job.
He went on to say that he predicted this from the beginning that Urban would be a Spartan.
I’m not sure how much we should believe this report, but Brown seemed ver confident in reporting that the Spartans were in a good spot with Meyer.
Brown went on to say that he knows how Urban Meyer is and he’s a competitor. He will want to get back into coaching and have a chance to beat teams like Ohio State and Michigan.
Yet another wild turn in this saga.
