We are officially less than two weeks away from the start of the 2023 Michigan State football season and the Spartans just capped off their second intra-squad scrimmage on Saturday.

This means that we’re in the home-stretch for the start of the season. It can’t come soon enough.

There are going to be some newcomers worth keeping an eye on this season, led by some quality transfers. Which three transfers will have the biggest impacts?

One of the newcomers that seems to fly under the radar quite a bit is Alante Brown. The senior receiver transfer from Nebraska was originally a Mark Dantonio recruit before he decided to go a different direction and ended up playing for Scott Frost instead.

Brown is back at the school that recruited him hard out of high school and the familiar name is going to make some waves this season.

Although he doesn’t have a ton of production to his name throughout his career thus far, he’s a speedy wideout who joins a receiving corps that needs some veterans to step up. Brown just had a career year with Nebraska in 2022, catching 16 passes for 191 yards and I know he’s capable of much, much more.

I’m expecting a big season out of Brown and I believe he’s going to take the reins as a starter.
