1. The entire weekend of July 28-30

Take your pick of the most exciting thing that happened this weekend. Spartan Dawg Con, Thy Shadows, the new Shadow jersey reveal. The weekend was filled with events and surprises that would make anyone affiliated with the university proud to be a Spartan.

It’s the ultimate symbol of the tight-knit community that is Spartan Nation. Former players, current players, current coaches, and even some former coaches were on hand to meet and greet with some of the best content creators to represent the green and white. Basketball players, cheerleaders, administrators; everyone was there and excited about the upcoming fall sports season, culminating in the unveiling of the football team’s “Shadows” jerseys, which became No. 1 with a bullet as the Big Ten’s best dark jersey.

Just on the surface, the black jerseys on black pants with black helmets look elite, but the detail in the jerseys put the Nike product over the top. The Greek pattern, the Dri-Fit technology, and the 1-of-1 carbon variant on the helmet; it was all revealed this weekend with a flawless ceremony.

It’s just another home-run tradition Mel Tucker and his staff are bringing to East Lansing, and we are here for all of it.
