For weeks now, Michigan State football has been teasing at something taking place on July 28 and many have speculated that it could be a new jersey reveal.

Obviously there’s been nothing but speculation and rumors to this point and that reached a new high on Tuesday afternoon after a rumored leak of an alternate jersey.

Nicklas Nordgren was searching for an MSU apparel purchase on Rally House when he stumbled across something interesting: a new-look jersey which included a black alternate.

Check it out:

The Twitter account @MSU_Uniforms shared the discovery with his thousands of followers and it kind of snowballed into more of a legit rumor. The site was selling these youth replica jerseys for a reason, so is it safe to assume that this will be the new look this season?

It’s clean, but I’m a really big fan of the black alternate and the green Greek key on the sleeve.

Potential black Michigan State football helmets to match?

For years, Michigan State fans have been clamoring for a black alternate look and a new matte black helmet. Well, that rumor began when the school started selling the black helmet concept.

If you’re wondering what the new helmet might look like with the black alternate leak above, just click the link at the end of the previous sentence. I’m going to admit: it would look good.

Although I’d be happy with a white Spartan logo on a matte black helmet with a black jersey and black pants with Greek key trim, I wouldn’t be mad at the green Spartan head on matte black that’s already being sold.

Is this going to be the July 28 surprise that the MSU football social media accounts have been teasing for weeks? We’ll see, but that would be a good guess.
