Every year, teams have freshmen who could rise in the ranks and push for starting jobs. Michigan State football is no exception.

The Spartans bring in the best recruiting class of the Mel Tucker era for 2023 and coming off a 5-7 season, there are jobs up for grabs.

Which freshmen could come in and start right away in 2023?

The top offensive lineman to commit during the Mel Tucker era has to make this list even if I think that the group in the trenches is set and it will likely be a strength this year.

However, knowing how Michigan State has had some bad injury luck over the years up front, seeing him be a fill-in for someone who goes down wouldn’t be a surprise. We need to knock on wood so none of the starters get injured, but it feels like even a minor ailment is likely to happen every year with a lineman or two.

Ramil would likely be a top option to replace an injured tackle or even push for some starting time because, well, he’s that good.

The Alabama native was being courted by some big-time programs and stuck with Michigan State through it all. He was the No. 222 overall prospect int the 2023 class. Oh, and he stands a massive 6-foot-7 and weighs in at 310 pounds. Just a monster of a lineman.
