Heading back home, Michigan State will be met with Michigan on Oct. 21 with revenge on the mind. The Spartans had an ugly finish to the 2022 game, letting the Wolverines run away with the win after being close at halftime and the incident in the tunnel caught all the headlines.

The rivalry got ugly, but Michigan State is ready to put that in the past and prove that the program is better than that.

Again, this is one of those game that I could see the Spartans surprising some people in, but Michigan is just too complete on both sides of the ball and they’ll pick up a win in East Lansing for the first time in the Mel Tucker era.

Prediction: Loss (4-3, 2-2)

The Minnesota game last year in East Lansing was the beginning of the season’s downfall. Well, maybe that was the Washington game, but the Minnesota loss was the first time during the season that fans really began to lose hope. The game wasn’t close from the get-go.

Michigan State nearly got shut out and it took a late Noah Kim touchdown to prevent that.

Minnesota will be a contender in the Big Ten West again and winning in Minneapolis is no easy task. This will be closer than expected, but the Gophers win.

Prediction: Loss (4-4, 2-3)
