Believe me or don’t, but I could actually see Michigan State winning this game. It’s about time the Spartans figure out how to beat Michael Penix Jr. and what better moment than in a huge Week 3 evening battle under the lights at Spartan Stadium with a 3-0 record on the line?

Unfortunately, Penix is just going to keep doing what he does best and that’s torture Michigan State. I can see this game being close throughout, but Washington’s receivers will create some mismatches and Penix will have another big game.

Michigan State’s offense just won’t be able to match the Huskies.

Prediction: Loss (2-1)

A lot of people are high on Maryland this season and it makes sense. Taulia Tagovailoa is back and that offense should pick up where it left off last year with one of the best quarterbacks in the Big Ten returning.

However, I just don’t see the Terrapins doing much more than winning 7-8 games like normal and sneaking into a low-end bowl game.

Michigan State lost at Maryland last season in a game that the Spartans had multiple chances to take control of and continued making mistakes. I don’t see that happening again as revenge is on the mind here.

Prediction: Win (3-1, 1-0 Big Ten)
